Colorado's Michelin-Starred Restaurants Revealed
Five restaurants receive one star and four receive green stars in the state's first-ever Michelin Guide
Last evening (Tuesday, September 12), Colorado’s culinary professionals took the night off from behind the burner to celebrate the state’s first-ever Michelin Star ceremony, held at Denver’s Mission Ballroom.
Colorado is the eighth Michelin Guide in North America, joining New York, Chicago, California, Florida (Miami/Orlando/Tampa), Washington D.C., Toronto, and Vancouver. It was announced earlier this year that Atlanta will receive its own Michelin Guide, as well.
Michelin Guide's international director, Gwendal Poullennec, said of the Colorado Guide, “Our inspectors have enjoyed their culinary journey through Colorado, and we can’t wait to share the inaugural selection with the world.”
In total, three Denver-area restaurants were awarded one star, one Apen restaurant received a star and one restaurant from Boulder received a star. No Colorado restaurants received two- or three-star designations during this inaugural ceremony.
