Washington D.C. is hosting a springtime destination bar that’s worthy of international cocktail aficionados: Masashiro (Masa) Urushido, owner of Manhattan’s Japanese-inspired Katana Kitten, and London-based Ryan Chetiyawardana, who goes by Mr. Lyan, have teamed up to host the cherry blossom pop-up bar at Silver Lyan in Riggs Hotel (900 F St., NW) from Thursday, March 31 through Saturday, April 2.

Do residents of the U.S. drink differently from those of London or Tokyo? In the audio, you’ll hear whether people’s drinking style varies according to where they’re from; how service is evolving post-pandemic, and why Mr. Lyan microwaves a Manhattan.
