New York’s annual Grand Slam tennis tournament, the U.S. Open, has taken over the city, with more than a million people turning into tennis fans now through September 7th.
The stakes are high, with a total of $90 million in prize money at stake according to the U.S. Open’s own site. The competition is fierce, and the players are in it to win it. Just today, defending champion and world No. 1 Jannik Sinner advanced against Vit Kopriva of Czechia, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2, in his quest for another victory.
There’s more than tennis to enjoy at the U.S. Open. Like most major sporting events, many come just to tour the grounds, enjoy good food and drink, and watch a little tennis along the way.
If you are going for the food and cocktails, you’ve got a lot of A-list options available. Here are the highlights you won’t want to miss.
