A Legendary Restaurant Reopens
Maxwell’s Plum, the New York City hotspot of the 1960s and 70s has reopened — but if you’re living in New York City, don’t make a reservation too fast. The legendary restaurant and celebrity playroom until it closed in 1988, has opened in Palm Beach Bounty’s horse and polo community of Wellington. Jenny Oz LeRoy, the daughter of Kay and Warner LeRoy who owned and operated NYC’s Tavern on the Green, the Russian Tea Room, and the original Maxwell’s Plum, is the owner of this new iteration, which offers food and cocktails in a stunning space. The menu offers salads, pizzas, steak frittes, and more; and an extensive cocktail menu includes several zero-proof offerings.

The Stanley Tucci-Martini-Bond Connection
Stanley Tucci is (deservedly) in the spotlight. The actor, who may best be known for his roles in The Devil Wears Prada and Julie & Julia won the hearts of millions of “foodies” with his Searching for Italy series. Tucci has been making the talk show rounds to discuss his book “Taste” but this week, Tucci got people talking when he posted an Instagram of him and Richard Madden sipping a martini together. Instantly, fans posted comments like “The new Bond and Q" — which would be the best news ever if it were true. Come to think of it, Tucci would make a fantastic Bond, himself. Tucci also posted a Paloma tutorial a few days later (his Instagram is a follow-must).
One Billion….Bananas
Everyone — from Minions to monkeys — loves bananas. So, it might not come as a surprise that Instacart has named the banana as the top-selling grocery item in the U.S. and Canada. In fact, the banana has taken Instacart’s top spot for 11 years in a row. This time, however, the banana has reached a milestone of King Kong proportions: Instacart has reported that it has delivered one billion bananas. How many bananas is a billion? Well, if you stacked all of them on top of each other you could reach the top of Mt. Everest. That’s totally bananas.
