The James Beard Foundation Announces 2024 Nominees
Chefs and restaurateurs make the last cut on the way to the June awards ceremony
Earlier today, the James Beard Foundation announced nominees in the restaurant and chef categories for the 2024 awards at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.
Each year, the country’s culinary community celebrates the announcements and subsequent awards, as a “Beard” can equate to increased business, investor funding, and national accolades for the winning chef and/or restaurateur.
Chefs from across the country were named for the annual Outstanding Chef award, with toques honored from Portland, Oregon to Mystic, Connecticut.
The winners of the 2024 awards will be revealed at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Tickets for the Restaurant and Chef Awards will be on sale starting April 9, 2024. For purchasing information, visit the organization’s Awards page.
