Try a Zero-Alcohol Spritz for Sunday Brunch
Zero (and low) alcohol brunch cocktails are festive, fruity, and flirty
January is a month traditionally designed for rebirth, new beginnings, and starting good habits for the rest of the year. Dry January, started in 2012 as a way for people to reassess their relationship with alcohol, has become a popular jump start to the New Year for many people. Other people are settling into January by being more mindful of what they drink, opting to choose low-alcohol cocktails over boozy drinks like martinis.
According to a global cocktail trend report by Bacardi, 57 percent of respondents plan on observing Dry January, with 40 percent of respondents saying they’re drinking more low-alcohol or non-alcohol cocktails all around. About a third of the people polled reported blending zero-proof spirit brands such as Lyre’s, with traditional spirits to create lighter, hybrid libations.
There’s no better way to try zero or low-proof cocktails than at brunch. The weekend meal, usually enjoyed with family or friends, is celebrated during daylight hours, when lighter drinks are appropriate.
If you’re planning a brunch this weekend, why not try one of these low-ABV or non-ABV spritzes? They’re makde with quality zero or low alcohol products and provide a festive, flirty fizz. The best part? You can linger with your besties and have a second (or third) glass without being slowed down for the rest of the day.
